Tesla motors have the best electric cars that are produced in the industry. Some of the best Tesla cars with the modified models are Model X, and Model Y model 3. These are known as luxury electric vehicles (EVs) which are marketed at higher prices. These Tesla products have a longer travel range and it needs charging too. Time to charge Tesla Model X

There are different versions of tesla model X:

  1. Model X long Range
  2. Model X performance
  • The charger level NEMA 5-15 of the model X of tesla takes 3 miles of range per hour. 
  • NEMA 14-50 takes 18 hours to charge your tesla.
  • The charger level Wall connector takes between 8 to 8 ½ hours to complete the charging.
  • The supercharger in this model takes the fastest time to charge the tesla which is just between 25 to 30 minutes.

The cost of charging model X is $15.29 to charge at its fullest level.

Time to charge Tesla Model 3

Currently, the different versions of this model which are outgoing in the market are

  1. Model 3 Long Range
  2. Model 3 performance 
  3. Model 3 standard range plus

Different forms of Charger levels take different times to charge. NEMA 5-15 takes the same time as all the models which are 3 miles of range per hour. The charger level NEMA 14-50 takes from 8 to 12 hours to charge a Tesla. The wall connector takes from 7 to 8 hours to charge a Tesla. So you need to put it in charge for 8 hours before using it. The fastest charger level is a supercharger and it works according to its name, that is it takes only 25 to 30 minutes to charge a Tesla. This one is faster than your smartphone charging.

The cost of charging model 3 is $12.54 to charge at its fullest level.

Time to Charge Tesla Model Y

The charger level NEMA 5-15 takes 3 miles of range per hour. The other charger NEMA 14-50 takes from 11 to 12 hours to charge a Tesla. The wall connector takes 7 to 8 hours which is another model than other models. The supercharger takes the quickest time to charge a Tesla Model Y that is only 25 minutes.

The cost of charging the model Y is about $11.47.

Tesla Supercharger

Tesla has the quickest charger level which is Supercharger and it is mostly used in America, Asia, and Europe. It enables the charging of Tesla electric vehicles faster than electric vehicles. Super Charger can charge the vehicles up to 80 percent just in 40 minutes and after it reaches 80% the level of the battery charger slows down to protect the battery’s power. 

NEMA 5-15 charger

This charger level is there in every Tesla model and it is plugged into any standard 120-volt outlet.  This is the slowest charger level to charge a Tesla vehicle so if a user has to charge with this then it is advisable to keep it on charging overnight. And if your tesla’s battery is emptied then it will take up to 8 days to complete charging up to 100%.

NEMA 14-50

This charger level is also not fast enough but is better and quicker than NEMA 5-15 as it uses a more powerful outlet than that. These chargers are generally used to charge clothing washing machines or dryers.

Wall connectors

Well, the wall connectors are the best way to charge a Tesla vehicle and it offers or provides the benefit of charging the tesla at home without much problem. These are the fastest charger levels that are used to charge the vehicles at home. If a user uses a wall connector to charge a Tesla vehicle then the user’s tesla will obtain a maximum of 44 hours of range per hour. But it will cost you more to install a wall connector which is costlier than charging adapters. The cost of installing a wall connector is around $500.

So depending on the different models of tesla and different versions of those models, the charging time doesn’t exceed more than 8 eight days. And that too when a user hasn’t charged for so long and their tesla vehicles are better now only 0%. Charging speed depends on the charger a user is using because different levels of the charger have different levels of speed to charge a Tesla. So it is best if you use the best model with the fastest recharging level so that it won’t take much time to fully charge your Tesla vehicle.
