Backing up on iCloud

Step 1: Make sure your device is connected to a WiFi network.

Step 2: Open Settings. Then click on your name. 

Step 3: Tap on iCloud. ( you might have to scroll down if you are using iPhone 7+ or models below that) 

Step 4: Open the iCloud backup option. ( if you are using iPhone 7+ or models below that tap on the backup option). 

Step 5: Make sure that your iCloud backup is turned on to continue. 

Step 6: Tap on the Back up now option. Make sure you are connected to a WiFi network all along the process. 

When your backup is finished. To see the details of the backup you can go to the Settings; click on your name; tap on iCloud; open the iCloud storage option; then tap on Manage storage. Now you can see all the details of your backup and its size. 

Sign out of your Apple ID

Step 1: Open the settings and click your name and your Apple ID on top.

How to reset iPhone without password?

  • if you are using Finder: Select the name of the iPhone in the left sidebar. 
  • If you are using iTunes: Click on the iPhone icon in the left upper corner. 

Step 5: Now a message will appear stating that your iPhone has a problem that needs to be restored or updated. Click on Restore. 

Step 6: Make sure to keep your iPhone connected to your computer while it fully resets and restores. It usually takes about 20 minutes to do so. 

After the process is finished, turn on your iPhone and set it up.
